Biden Uses Earth Day To Attack MAGA Rivals

(PrimeChronicle.org) – Standing in a patch of shade at Virginia’s beautiful Prince William Forest Park, President Joe Biden lamented the “overwhelming devastation” seen across the nation caused by climate change and the “scourge” of fossil fuels. Biden defended the “Inflation Reduction Act” and cited its importance as the primary source of funding for the “vast majority” of federal projects targeting climate change.

Biden has long seen Earth Day as an opportunity to push his climate change and social justice agenda. Last year Biden used executive action to create the “White House Office of Environmental Justice”. The purpose of the office is to guarantee that ethnic minorities and the LGBT community are not disproportionately affected by climate change.

A new study reports that LGBT couples are at greater risk of being affected by climate change. The concept that the LGBT community will experience more severe effects of climate change is based on the broad assumption that LGBT people live in coastal cities.

In his statements at William Park, Biden accused supporters of former President Donald Trump of downplaying the destruction caused by climate change. The President expressed confusion over why Republican lawmakers would want to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act. Biden slammed GOP leadership efforts to streamline regulations aimed at lowering the cost of oil production. Biden claimed that such efforts would undermine the United States’ ability to compete with China in the global green energy market.

Senior White House advisor and clean energy czar, John Podesta, mirrored Biden’s statement and affirmed that the goal of the Inflation Reduction Act is to fund projects to reduce carbon output. The Biden Administration is focused on directing funds to combat the climate crisis, which includes funding for Travis Kelce’s debut Hollywood film. The film, titled “My Dead Friend Zoe ” and starring big names like Morgan Freeman, was partially funded by credits diverted from the Inflation Reduction Act. The film has a reported budget of just under $10 million.
