(PrimeChronicle.org) – Before her murder, Mica Miller allegedly told her sister that she believed her husband wanted her dead. Miller suggested he was planning to shoot her in the back of the head. Miller was found dead on April 27th with a gunshot wound to the back of her head. Miller’s husband, John-Paul “JP” Miller, a pastor for a local church, claimed the death was a suicide. The pastor led church services as normal the day after his wife’s body had been discovered.
Miller’s family disputed the claim that Mica Miller would have taken her own life. They pointed out suspicious aspects of her death, such as her filing for divorce just a few weeks prior
Reports show that Miller had posted vague but concerning comments on social media suggesting she was a victim of domestic violence. One such post included a selfie with a caption claiming that her husband did something “terrible” to her.
Weeks before her untimely death, Miller was baptized in the ocean. The baptism was conducted by a local church unrelated to her husband’s church. Miller told the family that she believed her husband was having her followed to keep track of where she was.
JP Miller has been suspended from his church. In order to minimize online public backlash the church took down its website.
JP has only addressed his wife’s sudden death once, the day after she was found dead. JP opened a sermon by announcing that his wife had committed suicide and claiming she had struggled with suicidal thoughts for a long time. No official cause of death has been released and no charges have been brought against John-Paul Miller. The family has raised over $14,000 via a GoFundMe campaign. The GoFundMe page suggests that the funds may be used to hire private investigators.
The community demands answers and continues to support Mica Miller’s family as they continue to seek justice and answers.
